Country vs City: Where Should You Retire?

City life

Nights out at the theater, dinner, and drinks with friends or a walk in the park during the summer is a great way to pass the time in your retirement.

There is also the convenience. You can often walk to take care of your daily needs. Going to get groceries is not as much of a chore as you have options close to home. Going to the bank or post office usually involves a short walk or subway ride. And meeting up with friends can happen more spontaneously as you are usually close by each other.

Of course, the downside is that you are not close to nature and it can be loud and dirty in a city. Not to mention more expensive in a lot of ways.
