Getting on top of your finances can seem like an uphill struggle with no end in sight. No matter what you do you never seem to be any better off or organised sometimes. Write Everything Down.

How can you expect to gain control of your finances if you are clueless as to where all of your money is going? So take some time to track every single penny you spend and exactly what you have coming in. This will give you a clear idea of places you can look to make savings and repurpose your money to help you get back on track.

Pinpoint areas you are wasting money and take steps to rectify this. Then look at your essential outgoings and see where reduction can be made before allocating the rest of your income to your other financial commitments. It is a step by step process that will take time to get correct and into the habit of doing religiously. But you should never stop trying. 

Reducing Debts.

Regardless of the amount of disposable income you may or may not have, the fact is, any debts you have do need to be paid off. Look at ways of repurposing existing financial agreements. If you are a homeowner, can you look into a refinance home loan to help you consolidate existing credit agreements and reduce monthly payments to one manageable monthly payment? 

This may seem an odd way of getting out of debt, however, one large loan can give you the option to clear all your existing debts and help you improve your credit rating with as little impact on your ability to gain future credit as possible.

Alternatively, working on a repayment plan with your creditors can help you make your required payments and start paying off what you owe at an amount you can afford and your creditors are happy with.

Increasing your Income.

It may be that you find yourself having to look at extra employment to help you get your finances under control. Creating an additional income stream is a great way to generate extra funds for you to allow you to keep up with repayments and stay on track.

Options include taking on part-time evening employment to subsidise your current income or creating a side hustle to allow you to earn money from home. 

There are many different options you can look into all of which have the potential to help you generate extra funds for whatever you need them for.

  • Take online survey
  • Get paid for internet searches
  • Become an influencer on social media.
  • Become a Virtual Assistant
  • Sell  unwanted items online 
  • Write an ebook

Whatever route you take, there is always light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to getting your finances under control.
