All business owners know that social media can be a great marketing tool. It’s easy to use, it isn’t time consuming and the rewards often out-weigh the work. Facebook is one such social media platform, and with 1 billion users every day, businesses would be foolish not to take advantage of it. As a business owner, once you’ve figured out how to target your potential clients, you need to create an in-depth marketing plan for Facebook. Here are some tips.
Solve a Problem
It may seem natural to upload pictures and information about your products, but your customers will already have logged what you’re selling. When you really want to get attention, you need to answer questions. How will your product solve a problem? Why should your customers spend money on this product as opposed to competitor’s products? Make your customers look at your stock twice.
Offer Rewards
Facebook is the perfect platform for getting feedback from your customers. Whether you want to know what you’re doing right, what you’re doing wrong or both, it’s the ideal opportunity. You can create surveys for your customers to take or engage them in Facebook polls. However, you’ll find you get a lot more interest if you offer something as a reward. For instance, you could offer to put each person who takes your survey into a prize drawer for vouchers they can redeem against their favourite products.
Short and to the Point
A lot of Facebook users only have time to browse through their newsfeeds. Any content you create on Facebook must be able to grab a reader’s attention. For example, studies suggest that people are more likely to take in information if it’s presented in infographic form rather than written in post. When you really need to capture your follower’s attention, be visually stimulating and use points instead of sentences.
Thank Your Customers
Facebook is an opportunity to say a big thank you. Customers like to know that they’re valued and that they’ve contributed to your success. Use Facebook to thank your customers for their loyalty and you could even offer a discount on products as a way of thanking them. Everyone loves a bargain, so you may see an increase in your ROI.
Use Old Reliables
As you spend more time on your Facebook account, you’ll get to know what works and what doesn’t. Using old reliables like asking a question at the beginning of a post, getting creative with pictures or running competitions will come naturally. You’ll start to get a feel for what your clients want and how to attract them. Remember to keep your computer safe by using data centre cooling and keep any pictures or posts you could use more than once.
Perfect Your Call to Action
Your call to action should be something that gets your customers from thinking about buying your products to actually buying your products. You need to have a call to action on every ad you use, otherwise there’s nothing persuading your customers to buy. Make sure they get the nudge they need, without sounding forceful.
