I’ve given up on creativity and I feel like you should too. Templates are the past, present and are due to become your future. It took a while for me to realise how damaging it was to keep tiring of projects and move on to COMPLETELY different ones, without having 1. Created a success with the first 2. Applied knowledge from the last to the next.

I can only assume that other people are like me in that they don’t really like to feel like they’re doing the same thing over and over again. Instead, they want to go with brand new and fresh ideas every time. It’s definitely been detrimental to me, because I could have churned away with templates for a little while, and then moved on to something new in the future.

All that does is create a graveyard of incomplete projects for which had just one accomplishment; waste your time.

Let’s get some things done and let’s actually reap some rewards from these fully developed ideas.

The end goal is usually to up your funds. Some of the projects may be for cash injections, and others may be for long-term development for consistent cashflow over several years. Either way, focusing with templates will help you avoid distractions and focus on your goal. 

Things are so much simpler when you have a blueprint to work from. When you’re able to follow along with a plan, step-by-step to create something, it makes it so much easier than when you just figure things out as you go. That’s obvious. But when you’re the one that put the process together, it’s even easier to get something to a working and successful state.

The people that I admire most for the templating expertise are those that go through cycles of producing websites for Flippa. They’ve come up with a concept that works, they slightly tweak it for a different niche and then put it on the market for someone to pick up and continue with.

Once you’ve got a formula that work, repeat it again and again. Just find different pockets where there’s potential and you can make your mark, without reinventing the wheel.

If you’re really about maximising your efficiency and making an effort to be as productive as possible with your time, you’ll spend more time templating. You’re actually doing the bulk of the work for yourself way in advance. Once you’ve got these bases in place, it makes it so much easier to then outsource other parts of other projects. They just need to follow the original template (or first project) as the reference point.
