If you own your own home and you are looking for some good ways to earn extra money right now, I have some great news for you – it has never been easier or more profitable to make money from your property and here are some of the best ways to do just that.

Rent it out

okay, this is probably the most obvious route to go down, If you own a property, renting out a single room or the whole property (if you don’t need to live in it yourself) can be extremely profitable, especially if you are in an area with a high demand for accommodation, Obviously, you’ll need to be aware of things like the tenant fees act 2019, and ensure you do everything by the book, but you could potentially earn thousands of pounds a year, and if you are renting out just a single room to a lodger, you won’t have to pay tax on profits under £7,500 so it could be a nice little earner.

Sell storage space 

If you have appropriate storage space in your home that you are not currently using, such as garages, attics and basements, etc., ten you could actually make money by renting that space out to people who want to store their own stuff there for whatever reason. Potentially, you could earn upwards of £10-55 per square metre per week, which means if you have a lot of space, you could make a decent wedge of extra income with practically no effort at all.

Offer it up for photoshoots

If you have a house that looks interesting in some way (or even, perhaps if it does not) you could try your luck at offering it up for photoshoots and films. Photographers and film crews are always looking for interesting buildings to use as sets and you can potentially make between £500- 2500 per day depending on whether it’s a photographer or film crew and how prestigious the company are. Of course, having a crew in your home will be a bit inconvenient, but if you’re going to be out all day, it’s definitely worth considering because the rewards are so high, or maybe you can stick around and watch? You might even get to meet a famous face or two.

Rent your drive

Have a drive you don’t need to use? Live in a location where parking is slim? You could offer to let commuters or tourists park on your drive for a reasonable fee. If you get someone parking each day of the week, that could net you £50 or more in prime locations, and again, it will be something you can do with practically no effort, other than listing your drive as available online, at all.

As you can see, if you own your own home, you have a lot of extra earning potential. Although all the ideas above may not appeal, even one of them could net you a fair amount of money and help you to boost your income.
