What is One Good Deal?

One Good Deal is an Amazon online arbitrage deal-finding service. One Good Deal users entrust the team to source and publish a list of opportunities for them to buy profitable stock to flip on Amazon. They do the hard work for you and find what you can make a good margin on. All you need to bring to the table is your stock budget.

One Good Deal isn’t the first and it won’t be the last of this kind, but the team aspires to offer Amazon sellers the chance to cut down on their sourcing time by allowing them to do the hard work for them. If you have spent any time searching for deals manually yourself, you will know how many hours you can lose to it. Opting to use One Good Deal will feel like a world of new opportunities has opened up.

Why Would You Use an Online Arbitrage Deal Sourcing Service?

There are many different ways to find products to flip on Amazon. Online arbitrage is one of those methods with plenty of flexibility. I’ve seen that many people start off by finding their own deals manually and then moving down one of two paths:

  1. Software – monthly subscriptions to services that hunt down deals across a range of websites
  2. Deal sourcing – signing up to services that promise X deals per day/week

No matter what, it seems as though in order for you to scale up a DIY home Amazon business it’s very difficult to do so unless you choose one of those options. Some even do a bit of both.

Your first Amazon flip buys are always going to be the hardest, because it’s difficult to know whether or not you’re doing the right thing. Software will not validate whether or not a deal is a good deal. It needs human verification first. In some cases it can be waaaay off, as I still find with the software I use. Deal sourcing cuts out that doubt, as you’re shown the opportunities that have already been checked out and are ready for you to claim and flip.

Another downside of software is the quantity of deals it can present to you. You can run a search and find literally hundreds of deals in front of you. It might sound great, but it’s no good when you have limited sourcing time. While you can filter these lists down, that process adds time to your personal deal sourcing time. It’s so much easier – especially when you’re newer in this game – to be provided with a list that someone else has handpicked with the highlights (with all the false positives removed).

What Product Details Do You See?

Up front, One Good Deal will disclose:

  • Category (essential if you know you have restrictions for your account)
  • BSR (as an indicator of how good of a seller it is)
  • Profit (the exciting bit)
  • ROI (so you know whether or not it hits your ideal window of profitability)
  • Amazon price
  • Source price
  • Slots taken within One Good Deal (social proof/competition level)

From there, you can click through to see a Keepa chart, for more clarity and specifics about its sales history. You’re presented with the 3-month view, which is sufficient to get an understanding as to whether it’s a consistent seller or not.

As experienced Amazon sellers will tell you, the BSR can be very misleading, without looking at Keepa, so it’s always worth double-checking there before you pull the trigger on a purchase. On top of that, it’s important to know whether the current Amazon price has been relatively consistent over the past few months. If it’s usually 30% lower, the chances are the price will dip down again soon.

The deal list is displayed from the most recent opportunity to the one that has been in the system for the longest. You have the ability to sort by any of the data, or filter by searching for specific categories. In practice, it’s most likely that you will just be looking at what’s new and picking out the good stuff you find from there.

In order to actually see what product it is, you have to use your credits. Each deal is worth 1 credit (with hazmat ones worth 1.5 credits), at which point you are able to click a link directly to the source and buy the product for yourself.

What’s My Experience with One Good Deal?

It has been a long time since I’ve tried out any new things with Amazon. I’ve got processes in place so that when it’s time for me to do my Amazoning, I don’t actually have to use my brain for it. Amazon-related activities are all essentially done during downtime when I don’t have to think; I just need to follow the flow that I’ve been perfecting over the past few years.

While that way of working is very efficient, it means that I’m really just staying on the same level for the majority of the year. Going with the flow doesn’t usually lead to the best results. I might have it good sometimes, but if you want it, you need to go out of your way to get it. Now that certain projects have quietened down, I’ve got the time to test out something new – something like One Good Deal.

I was excited to step out of my comfort zone of the same handful of product categories for a change. While I didn’t quite get along with Online Arbitrage Deals, I’m not against other people finding deals for me. It gives me the chance to rethink my sourcing and consider what I’ve been missing out on. There are always sites I haven’t tried to source from before and products I haven’t considered selling before.

The presentation of the deals is very much to-the-point and easy to navigate. You have access to:

Dashboard: Presenting the number of credits you have available and the number of deals currently available.

Deals: The list of the deals you can navigate through and choose to purchase

My Deals: The deals you have ‘purchased’ with credits

That’s all you need.

All the action is restricted to the Deals section, while My Deals is where you get access to the product links, both to the source and Amazon. It gives you the chance to do any extra checks you might want to go through before you commit to actually buying anything.

What’s great about One Good Deal is that you can see what deals are available even when you don’t have any credits. It means that you could sit there with an account and check in at your convenience to see if there’s anything that catches your eye before you decide to actually buy credits for access to the product info (ASIN and source link). The team's quality analysts prep a fresh batch for publication every 12 hours, so there's no shortage of new opportunities to watch out for.

I’m looking at an amazing deal as I write this. I haven’t bought it, so I can’t see the details, but if I was to pull the trigger, it would earn me £18.90 profit per unit, thanks to its amazing 86% ROI. 5 other users have jumped on the opportunity. When you’re presented with a page of 40-80%+ ROI deals, it’s hard to resist topping up your credits to find out if it’s worth investing in.

One Good Deal has highlighted some obscure and small sites that I’ve never come across before, so it’s exciting knowing that they could uncover some real gems at any point. They say they hunt out these deals manually (rather than with software) and the range of sourcing sites they use indicates that this is true. It’s a huge advantage because software-reliant sellers can find themselves restricted and forced to buy highly competitive products.

Another important detail about One Good Deal is that I can see from the slots taken how many people have bought the deal. They actually limit it, so pools of just 8 people will see each deal (and 15 for US sellers). That isn’t true of other similar services, where the deals are often swamped by sellers that end up driving down the profit on the opportunity by repricing further and further down.

If competition is a big factor for you, you’ll really like their Superbuy feature. In return for using 6 credits, you have exclusive access to the deal. No one else will see it and it’s yours to exploit, knowing that no other One Good Deal users will be able to get their hands on it.

If you’re not satisfied that a deal is really a deal, you have the ability to replace it, refund your credit and move onto the next one. Obviously, there needs to be a good reason (like IP danger, OOS or the fact that the products aren’t the same), but it’s nice to know you have 10 minutes to highlight any duds that may crop up.

How Much Does One Good Deal Cost?

One Good Deal offer a credit-based access system, rather than a monthly fee. No matter how many credits you choose, you will receive the same high quality leads. This flexibility means that you can use it as and when you need to. They go from a Starter plan of 35.71 credits, through to an Expert plan with 555.5 credits. The more you buy, the more you save.

As with anything, it makes a lot of sense to try things out with a smaller serving before you commit to over 550 credits. However, it’s worth knowing that you can save as much as 36% if you do choose to go big.

No matter how many credits you choose to get, you’re going to get:

  • 100+ deals per week
  • £2.50 minimum profit per unit
  • 30% profit

Plus – your credits won’t expire. If you’re the type to buy in bulk at the start of the month and wait for cashflow before you re-up your stock again, you have that flexibility available.
