Get The Right Car 

Having the right car is important for a couple of reasons. First off, if you’re driving around in a busted up old car that breaks down every 5 minutes, you’re constantly paying for repairs. That means that all of the money you’re making is disappearing again right away and you won’t be left with much at the end of it. But a newer car that is in better condition won’t have that problem. You don’t need to break the bank, you can get some great second hand cars from places like Hilton Garage for a good price. Even if you pick something that is 3 or 4 years old, it will be a lot cheaper than buying new and you won’t have to worry about regular breakdowns. The other reason that it’s important to get the right car is that you want the ride to be comfortable for your passengers. You’re not going to get good reviews if you’re driving people around in an old car that doesn’t feel comfortable and safe. 

Provide Extras 

Going the extra mile and making the ride better for passengers will get you bigger tips and if you’re getting a good tip with every ride, that will soon add up. Providing extras like drinks and snacks is a great way to do that. Over in the states, Uber has partnered with a service called Cargo Box which sells items to passengers and the driver gets a small commission for each order. It’s not up and running over here yet but it may be in the future so be on the lookout for that as well. 

Pick The Right Time 

Every minute spent driving without a passenger in the car is eating into your profits because you’re paying for fuel, so you have to pick the right times to drive. On a busy Friday night, you’re going to have fares all over the city, so as soon as you drop somebody off, there will be somebody else right around the corner. But if you’re driving on a Tuesday afternoon, there will only be a couple of people looking for a ride and you’ll be driving long distances between them, which is wasting a lot of money. 

If you get it right, you can make some good money from Uber driving but if you don’t follow these tips, you won’t earn that much.
