My eyes always get forgotten when I go through a body MOT. Last year, I made an active effort to fix thing that I knew weren’t 100%. I had a good three months of space to play around with and it gave me the freedom to do plenty of things. In that time, I nipped by the doctors to fix a couple things. I swung by the dentist and had a couple of minor treatments. Those eyes – despite the fact I knew they aren’t up to par – got left out.

It’s a real shame, because I know in my heart that it’s probably time for glasses. I haven’t been to an optician since I was in junior school (to my knowledge). In that time, a lot has happened. In particular, the popularity of personal computers, smartphones and tablets – all of which I’ve been a victim to. These have definitely had an impact on my sight, but I’ve always been too busy/unbothered/lazy to do anything about it.
