What are Entry-Level Online Earning Opportunities?

As online money-making has become more established and developed, it’s meant that there’s an extremely wide spectrum of opportunities for people to make additional cash from the comfort of their homes. It’s got to the point where there’s a method that will work for everyone; you just need more awareness of what they are and how you can take part.

Disclaimer: Before you go any further: entry-level online earning opportunity all come with low-level rewards. It isn’t to say that you can’t get lucky and come into some decent cash with them, but they do tend to pay very little, compared to ones for people with more online skills. Take that on-board before you get excited about any get-rich-quick aspirations you may have.

Where to Start

Start by asking yourself how much time you have on your hands/how much time you can make for yourself each day. Notice that I mention that you’re going to have to need time each day to do these things, because in order to make anything from them, you’re going to have to be committed. It’s not to say that you can’t take time off from them, but consistency is your friend in this game.

While some of them work on the basis that ‘the more time you put in, the more you get out,’ others limit you to a certain amount of work (which may increase over time or remain about the same). You’ll understand once you see the sort of activities you can engage in to make some extra money.

What are the Options?

I would say that the most basic, entry-level online earning opportunities are those which don’t require much in the way of specialist skills or knowledge; they just require internet access and a little time. Some of these are passive and don’t really require you to take any action after you’ve set up an account, while others need your full attention to engage in whatever activity they ask of you.

The following would fall into this category:

  • Paid surveys; get paid to answer questions about advertising, your shopping habits, political views, etc.
  • Paid-to-click; get paid to visit websites and watch videos
  • Sharing browsing data; allow companies to see all the websites and/or apps you use on your computer/mobile phone
  • Paid to search; get paid to search on specific websites
  • Paid to download; get paid for downloading and using apps on your phone
  • Cashback; receive a rebate for shopping online
  • Sharing receipts; get paid for logging your shopping receipts

There’s a really wide range of options, many of which I personally took part in when I first discovered this world when I was a teenager. The great thing about some of these methods of money-making is that you don’t have to put in any real effort to get some decent payouts. For example, you can easily accumulate a good three figures in your bank balance over the course of a year from the extremely passive cashback (which literally everyone should be using). Others really need you to dedicate a certain amount of time per day to qualify for any cash.

How Much You Can Expect to Earn?

It varies depending on what you choose to do (and you can really do a lot of them at once), but expect to add anything up to an extra £50 to your monthly income from these types of methods. The more methods you engage in, the more you’re going to be able to earn. Just be sure not to overload yourself with too many at the beginning. Figure out how to do one properly and then move onto the next, and the next, and crack on from there.

If you’re committed and you find a way to properly incorporate these money-making methods into your life, you’re going to be able to inject a nice little extra cash boost to your income each month. Eventually, you may graduate from some of these methods and advance to more complex, better-paid opportunities, but the selection mentioned earlier is the perfect place to begin your journey.
