The Best Printer for Amazon Sellers

Quick disclosure: I know absolutely nothing about printers and technology really isn’t my thing at all. I buy things that work, so I don’t have to think about them and I can just concentrate on getting things done.

The best printer for an Amazon FBA seller is the Brother HL-L2350DW. I am calling this the ‘best’ printer because I’ve had absolutely no issues using this sole choice for the 4+ years that I have been an Amazon seller, and it meets all of the criteria required of it. Amazon has yet to inform me of any issues with any shipments relating to my labelling, so they must be happy with it too.

When sending boxes of products to Amazon, you usually will have to label both your box and your individual products. As per Amazon’s video, the key detail is that they require any barcodes to be ‘scannable’.

Amazon won’t tolerate smudging, tears, or fading in your barcodes. They won’t accept boxes delivered with barcodes that they can’t read and remove stock that they can’t process. This can obviously be quite costly for you. To avoid this situation, it’s advised that you stay away from ink printers. Minor water damage will render your labels useless.

Instead, opt for a laser or thermal printer. The Brother HL-L2350DW is ideal because:

It prints in mono (black and white only – all you need)
It has a wifi connection
It does not print if the toner is too low
It’s very easy to set up

That is all that matters.

I obviously use the printer for other things too, and it’s also helpful because it:

Prints on both sides
Doesn’t survives being moved from one room to other, if necessary (unlike others I’ve had)

There may be other decent options out there, but this one has served me well from the day I bought it and I would replace it with the exact same model if it gave up on me eventually.
