BuyBotPro is a comprehensive deal analysis tool for Amazon FBA online arbitrage sellers. Once you’ve organised your list of potential buys, it does the work in vetting whether or not your deal is a viable one.
The Chrome extension is the creation of ungating and suspension advice expert Karen Summer and Matt from Secret Wealth Project. As well as creating some of the most helpful content for UK Amazon FBA online arbitrage sellers, the pair have linked up to get into the software game.
As the days go by, more tools come along to assist in sourcing products, but few are doing the final bit of work to sift through the finds and tell you whether or not to ultimately make those purchases. There are so many factors that go into it. Sourcing tools tend to find products that meet criteria such as price difference, the subsequent ROI and whether the item is in a particular Sales Rank range. That’s just step #1.
As I recently explained, Keepa holds a lot of the history sales, Buy Box price and previous seller information for every product on Amazon. BuyBotPro reads Keepa for you – and to more depth than you can – in under 7 seconds.
BuyBotPro verifies the details from your sourcing list and then does the final bit of sales analysis and an eligibility review to confirm whether or not you should make a purchase, and how many units to put in your basket. It sounds like a lot for a humble Chrome extension, so let’s break down all that it can do.
How Does It Work?
BuyBotPro operates when you navigate to an Amazon product page. It loads up and sits patiently for you to input some key information – the buy and sell price. With that information, it forms its analysis to tell you how good of a buy it is.
Profit Calculator
I don’t know about you, but I’ve gone through quite a few Amazon profit calculators and I’ve had all sorts of dodgy estimations about how much profit I’ll be left with. This seems to be a very accurate one, lining up exactly with Amazon’s on all the ones I’ve checked (which hasn’t happened with any of the others I’ve used).
All of the typical things such as profit margin, ROI, Amazon fees, and the actual profit are displayed within seconds, as you would expect. It means that if your sourcing tool is slightly off with the figures (as some of the US-focused ones are), you can confirm them here.
Eligibility
As all Amazon sellers will know, you can’t just go around selling what you want. There are lots of restrictions in place for new sellers. You can get ungated to sell in some product categories, but others are strictly off limits for third party sellers. As long as you’re signed in, BuyBotPro will tell you if you’re eligible to sell a product. It’s a massive time saver.
As well as your personal account’s eligibilities, it checks universal things like whether an item is hazmat (so can’t be sold via FBA) and if it’s likely to be a private label product (so the manufacturer may put in claims against other sellers). The last thing you want to do is get a surprise when you’re prepping a shipment. This highlights them before you make your buying decision, so you don’t purchase multiple units and find you can’t even sell them on Amazon.
Categories like DVD & Blu-Ray have gone through changes whereby some products are open to all ungated sellers, while others aren’t. Beforehand, I was doubling my your work by checking to see if I could sell them within Seller Central before I did analysis on the product page (with Keepa etc). One click of the button and you’ll get three eligibility questions in one go.
Sales Rank
The best seller’s rank indicates the rate at which a product typically sells on Amazon. Although it is displayed openly on the product page, it takes some scrolling to get down there. BuyBotPro prominently displays both the current BSR and states whether it’s among the category’s fastest sellers by showing what percentage it falls within (top 1% being the best).
This is helpful stuff, but it’s something most good sourcing tools will show you. Where BuyBotPro excels itself is by predicting its future BSR positioning. It uses historic Keepa data to indicate how likely it is to maintain or lose a decent sales rank over time.
The tool throws in the European BSRs and Buy Box prices too, so you can quickly glance over to see if there’s an opportunity in a different territory.
BuyBotPro Score
Based on all of the factors mentioned, the tool then comes up with a percentage score of how strong the deal is. The higher the better. The scale goes from a Low score to a Very Good one, red to green. It gives further detail about the deal, whether it’s positive or negative, so you know where you stand.
There are customisable settings to suit your needs. If you want a particular profit or ROI, if you have prep fees or need to take VAT into account, you can ensure that all of this is taken into consideration for the BuyBotPro Score. The tool also states the estimated monthly sales and displays a suggested purchase quantity, making the vetting process that much more efficient.
Just as you would ignore a deal that doesn’t meet your criteria, it alerts you with a 0% score when you’re not eligible to buy it or if it won’t bring you as much profit as you require per unit. As you grow to trust the tool more, the BuyBotPro Score should be enough to judge whether or not to make the purchases. If you are going to buy, it gives you a strong rough estimate of how many units to buy.
More experienced arbitragers would likely want to experiment with deals that come up in the Average (amber) range, while newer people to the game may be better sticking to the ones that score as Good (green) and upwards. Of course, I would (and do) still check Keepa before I buy anything, but the score is mostly in line with how I see the deals from my sourcing.
Stock Level Analysis
A huge benefit of the tool is that it displays real-time, complete stock level data for all of the sellers on a listing. You're no longer in the dark as to whether you're about to buy something where another seller has x10 units, when you assumed that they only had a couple. It displays information on the top 10 sellers, showing highlighting the FBA sellers, as these are your main competition for the Buy Box.

Now that Keepa's best data is no longer free, BuyBotPro offers its users the ability to see all the essential Sales Rank and Buy Box price history that used to come as standard on their Chrome extension. They incorporate it into the interface, so you can see for yourself how well the product tends to
What Else Can BuyBotPro Do?
It seems that most online arbitrage sellers use a purchasing/stock/sourcing Google spreadsheet to record their buys. Once you’ve made the transaction, you then have to input all of that information about the cost, Buy Box price, profit and so on. It’s long, but essential if you want to keep on top of all of your stock expenses and expected deliveries. The BuyBotPro team didn’t think that was good enough. As this tool is used as the final step in the sourcing process, they allow you to export all of the information about the deal directly from your Chrome browser.
The export feature is another huge time saver that really makes this worth the investment. All you need to do is input your Google Sheets URL, and it does all the work for you. As you’d expect, you can adjust all of the fields to make sure it aligns with your current sheet, and streamlines your admin.
What Else is Included?
As well as the tool itself, users have the ability to join the tool’s specialist Facebook group, among which Karen and Matt are very active and forthcoming with all-round Amazon selling advice. If you’re new to Amazon selling, you’ll really appreciate being able to learn from both those that are a few steps ahead, and others in the same position as you.
There are two different plans. One is just for the Chrome extension along, but the other offers access to a Suspension Safeguarding service. If your Amazon selling privileges are ever suspended, it can be a stressful and complicated process to get your account reinstated (if they ever do). By signing up to this, you gain access to an expert consultancy service able to advise you with one-on-one support to overcome it.
The costs for getting your selling rights back can escalate into the thousands in consultation fees, so having access to this at a relatively low monthly cost means you’ve always got that assurance that you have expert support at your fingertips. I’m a strong advocate for brand new online arbitrage sellers trying things out with as few unneeded expenses as possible. That means sourcing manually, analysing deals manually and prepping themselves. You won’t know a true deal until you’ve found one for yourself and sold it yourself. Once you’re capable of finding the deals yourself, that’s when it’s time to consider how to speed things up. Plus, you can use it on three different devices – great for people with VAs.

In 2020, they even went on to make a version for mobiles so you can use it for retail arbitrage too. As that isn't something I do these days, I haven't tried it out, but it's great to know that it's got functionality to suit people that source products for Amazon selling in many different ways.
Having seen Karen and Matt’s commitment to helping Amazon sellers since when I was starting out, I’m confident they will continue to work on the tool to make it as effective as possible. For example, I know there are plans to expand it for retail arbitrage use, and a suggestion I put forward is being considered.
