There's Value in PS2 Games?

After running through the priciest resellable games for the original PlayStation, I’m back at it again – this time with a PS2 edition.

I had four consoles in my childhood: a Super Nintendo, PlayStation, PlayStation 2 and PS3. The PlayStation 2 was the first I remember properly wanting. I really, really needed it in my life. Look at the graphics. I’d got a few of Official PlayStation Magazine issues in the lead up to it, and finally got it for Christmas 2000 alongside Tekken Tag Tournament and a Rez demo. Good times.

I want to get all the games I ever wanted for it one day. One day. Until then, I’m going to spend my time flipping every PS2 games that I can. If you’ve never resold a game in this way, I advise you do. Keep away from Music Magpie and the other trade-in sites. You can get decent money for a fair few PS2 games. If you happen to be at a boot sale, charity shop or your own collection, here’s are some games to look out for.

What Games Should I Look For?

As of February 2017, these are the prices you can expect to comfortably sell the following games for second-hand on eBay (complete with case, manual and disc). PAL versions, so no imports. No special editions either.

And now you know. If you see any of these around, stick to a £2 maximum buying price per item. If you come across a large lot and a few are nestled in there, ask for a bundle deal. Any duds can be bunched together and resold as a job lot easily. Now do your thing.
