Let’s face it most of us would like to have more money. Some of us want extra cash for luxuries like holidays and nights out, but for some, it’s more of an essential. They don’t want more money. You might have explored the option of making money online or looked into how much you could make by selling some of your unwanted possessions. 

But, have you considered making some of these possessions work for you? If you’ve got a car, you’ve got something that’s worth quite a bit, that belongs to you. But you might not want to sell it. It might not even be cost-effective to sell it if you commute long distances or spend a lot of time on the road. Instead, you could use your car to make money. 

Become a Driver

If your car is very nice, you could make money driving as a chauffeur, working freelance for specific clients. You’ll need to keep in clean and tidy and get regular services, but this can be a great money earner. If you are after something more flexible or don’t feel as though your car is respectable enough to drive esteemed clients, work as a taxi driver through an app, setting your own hours and working whenever you have got a little free time. 

Be a Delivery Driver

People aren’t the only things that you can drive. Many large companies use freelance drivers to deliver parcels and orders. Like taxi drivers, these drivers can work when it suits them, earning extra money around other commitments. You won’t have to worry as much about keeping your car clean and tidy, but it will still need to be in reliable condition and have plenty of space if you want to take large deliveries. 

Deliver Food

Another great option when it comes to using your car to earn money is delivering food. This can be especially good if you live near a takeaway restaurant and you’ve got plenty of free evenings and weekends. You might have to work set shifts, which could run late into the night, but you’d have guaranteed earnings at an hourly rate. 

Rent out Your Parking Space

Of course, you don’t even need to use your car to make cash from it. If you’ve got a parking space, you might be able to rent it out to people looking to park cheaply when you aren’t using it. If you live in a big city and spend time out of the house Monday-Friday while you work, you might be able to rent out your space at home to someone commuting. You could set up a long term arrangement with the same person or list your parking space on an app or website.
